The Opportunity

Theta Capital Management sits at the intersection of traditional finance and blockchain innovation. As one of the pioneering alternative investment firms, we offer ambitious students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both hedge fund management and blockchain venture capital.
At Theta, you won't be fetching coffee. Our interns:

• Work directly with the investment & operations team by analyzing blockchain protocols, hedge fund strategies and financial information
• Develop proprietary tools that uncover hidden opportunities across our 1,000+ early-stage portfolio companies
• Expand our market footprint by enhancing our digital presence, streamlining investor communications, and supporting fundraising initiatives
• Create lasting impact by developing scalable tools and processes that enhance our operational efficiency

As pioneers in institutional blockchain investing, we manage a portfolio of 50+ specialized crypto-native venture funds with exposure to over 1,000 early-stage deals globally. Our unique fund-of-funds model gives you visibility across the entire blockchain ecosystem.

Your Job Responsibilities

As an intern, you'll gain exposure to our entire business. While you'll help across all operations, we'll tailor your experience based on your strengths and interests, focusing on areas where you can make the greatest impact:

• Blockchain Ventures: Perform due diligence on investment opportunities and build analytics tracking systems that drive decision-making
• Hedge Fund Selection: Analyze specialized managers across quantitative, fundamental equity, and credit strategies
• Operations: Enhance our data infrastructure and compliance processes
• Investor Relations: Support our capital raising activities

Example of things you could be working on:

• Develop dashboards tracking venture capital performance metrics across different strategies
• Create a comprehensive database to monitor blockchain project token unlocks
• Design standardized templates for due diligence processes and investment analysis
• Build a pipeline to source qualified leads for the investor relations team

You are

• A sharp analytical mind with exceptional attention to detail
• An entrepreneurial self-starter who thrives in our fast-paced environment
• Currently enrolled in your final year of a bachelor's or master's degree
• Genuinely curious about blockchain technology and financial markets
• Available for at least 5 months, 3–5 days per week

For example an under-the-radar emerging crypto VC that you think we should consider for an investment, an insightful research blog post we should write and publish on our website, specific dashboards we should build internally, etc.
