About VB Advisory

What are we looking for

As a Quantitative Developer within the VB Advisory software development department, you will work in a team of developers, and researchers that help us build our next-generation platforms. We expect you to be involved in innovative solutions and being engaged with all stages of the process. You are an enthusiastic person who gets energy from programming and developing models in several programming languages.

Key responsibilities

 Deliver high-quality code that enables the implementation of complex numerical procedures.

  • Develop and improve code for existing platforms to further optimize the code base in terms of robustness and speed.
  • Facilitate ongoing implementation of requirements for several business and financial models.

 Functional work area:

Quantitative Development / Implementation / Research & Development

Hours per week:

 36 – 40

Applicant characteristics:

  • MSc Student who recently graduated or graduates on short term in a relevant field, like computer science, econometrics, mathematics, or physics.
  • The preferred candidate is flexible, proactive and has a positive attitude. Furthermore, he/she can work independently, follow procedures and pay attention to detail in a fast-paced, fluid international environment.
  • Strong affinity with Quantitative Models and Data.
  • Finance knowledge and/or experience not required but nice-to-have


Experience in advanced programming languages (e.g.,  Python, Django, SQL),  and can work with large datasets. A broad interest in software development is appreciated, and the preferred candidate enjoys learning about and implementing new technologies in the fields of back-end development, front-end development and databases. Furthermore, there should be a natural interest in financial modelling and data analytics.

Required language skills:

Well versed in English.
