Digital & Emerging Technologies (D&ET) is a team within EY Technology Consulting in the market of analysis, design & improvement of client processes. The characterizing feature of D&ET is that it works through analysis of the data that is used & produced in client processes, using the risk focus that is so typical for EY services. Digital & Emerging Technologies is appreciated by our clients because it offers a basis for practical solutions to improve their processes. Client personnel involved in D&ET projects usually like the direct and iterative approach, intensive cooperation leading to fast and effective results.
D&ET maintains a structured methodology that is supported by a suite of tools and enablers. Our team consists of well-trained and eager professionals in all levels of experience, who apply the methodology in client projects, and all contribute to further development of the methodology and tooling.
The job position:
We are looking for a Consultants to join our D&ET Team, who will contribute to the development of tools and enablers for the D&ET methodology, as well as work in delivery through client projects. You are jointly responsible for the realization of new/amended versions of our tooling components and supporting enablers. This encompasses the full development cycle, starting from conceptual idea, analysis, design, programming, testing, acceptance and implementation. You actively participate in client projects where the tools and enablers are deployed, making sure the tools are optimal fit for purpose and as a source of ideas for further development.
Your profile:
You have a degree in an IT related subject and have proven experience in software development. Apart from implementing, you are also able to contribute on both the architectural and design level.
Though we primarily work with the full Microsoft development stack (Azure, SQL Server, C#.NET, DEVOPS) and you preferably are familiar with these environments, languages and common frameworks, you realize that any language or framework is just a tool. You are able and eager to learn new concepts and apply them successfully. As our solution revolves around data quality, you are expected to have an understanding of data and how its technical boundaries affect the information and knowledge that can be distilled from it. You are eager to expand your knowledge beyond the boundaries of pure IT to business process knowledge in various sectors of the Financial Services industry.
