The department: Corporate Finance

Kempen & Co Corporate Finance focuses on M&A, debt advisory services and capital market transactions in the real estate, life sciences/healthcare, cleantech, financial institutions and construction, maritime & offshore sectors. Our specialist market and industry expertise enables our fifty professionals to provide financial advice at the highest level to our international clientbase. Our clients are Dutch and foreign companies, private equity funds, (semi) government institutions, institutional investors and family offices.
 
Kempen & Co Corporate Finance offers you an internship in a challenging, varied and professional environment in which you are immediately given responsibilities. An internship at Corporate Finance gives you a unique glimpse of what goes in the department and you will encounter many of the wide-ranging aspects of Corporate Finance. For instance, you will become acquainted with many different companies within a short space of time and be actively involved in various pitches and/or transactions. In short, a wonderful opportunity to gain some work experience and get to know Kempen & Co and Corporate Finance in particular!
 

Job description

During your three-month internship you will work as a fledgling professional. As an intern at Corporate Finance, you will work closely with our best employees on new ideas, winning assignments and conducting projects. These projects may comprise financial transactions, such as supervising a sale or share issue, or conducting a strategic study. During your internship you will:

  • be viewed as a full team member;
  • collect and analyse market and corporate information;
  • conduct financial analyses (such as valuations);
  • contribute to strategies;
  • hold client presentations; and
  • be actively involved in discussions.

 
You will also keep yourself up-to-date on financial trends around the world and spot opportunities for Kempen & Co. Kempen & Co operates a policy of learning on the job and you will also receive intensive supervision throughout your internship: you will be assigned a mentor, attend training courses on valuations, Excel and PowerPoint skills and information databases.
 

Who are we looking for?

You are studying for a university degree and have a demonstrable affinity with the financial world. You possess sound analytical and communication skills and are a true team player. You have commercial insight, dare to take the initiative, prefer project-based work, are not afraid of deadlines, recognise a challenge in new things and seize opportunities.
 
Internships are available at Corporate Finance throughout the year.
